Venezuela Offering Free Classes in Crypto; U.S. Should Follow Suit
Venezuela's plans to implement their own natural resource-backed coin, the Petro, has been big news in the crypto world. To help garner more interest and understanding of the Petro, crypto-mining, and the cryptoeconomy, the Granja Laboratorio Petro is offering free classes on the theme. Crypto-trading instructor, Carmen Salvador, explains:
Though Venezuela's Petro has been a topic of controversy since its inception in December, we feel that they're truly on to something in regards to the education of cryptocurrency. As Bitcoin's share in the market increases, education on how cryptoeconomies operate and how the blockchain functions will be imperative to students and adults who will inevitably be crypto users. While there are professional courses available, making this information freely available to students should be considered for introduction in our public schools and community education programs.
