Circle to Launch a Cryptocurrency Investing App
Though Circle removed it's option for customers to buy and sell Bitcoin in late 2016, recent business moves show that they are ready to reinvest in the world of cryptocurrency. Late last month it was announced that Circle was acquiring large crypto-exchange, Poloniex. With this purchase Circle hoped to expand on Poloniex's exchange, potentially by tying in it's own messaging and simplistic peer-to-peer fiat currency transfer.
Well less than a month later, this appears to be exactly what Circle had in the works. On March 6, Circle users reported that they had received invitations to Beta test Circle Invest, which allows users to utilize Circle Trade (the company's large trading exchange), from a mobile app. This app is intended for the individual as it allows for investments as small as $1 in 5 major cyrptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ether Classic).
A major aspect to their application is that they boast "Zero Commissions" on trades, offline storage of holdings, and two-step verification for access. With zero commission fees, Circle explains how they are able to earn a profit from its users' trades:
Circle has not yet set an official release date for Circle Invest, but as they, and recent acquisition Poloniex have long been in the game of crytpocurrency exchanges and mobile application, they're target for sometime in 2018 seems viable. We'll be excited to try out the app love convenience of app-functional crypto trading.
