Amazon Ends Selling of Gift Cards on Online Gift Card Malls

Amazon will be removing the option to buy (including with Bitcoin) gift cards from online gift card malls.

We expect that if you're like most of us, we don't read ANNOUNCEMENTS from online shopping retailers in our inbox. However, if you like these malls as a way to purchase gift cards using Bitcoin, don't expect to purchase Amazon gift cards this way after March. Online gift card malls, like eGifter and Gyft, sell gift cards for hundreds of retailers; from pizza places, to iTunes, to high-end clothing retailers and even gift cards for the purchase of stocks, and both accept Bitcoin as a payment method. Of the many companies making gift cards available to these online malls is Amazon, at least until April:

While Amazon has not made any other announcements as to why, nor has eGifter responded to our same inquiry. We will update this story with more information, upon responses to our questions.
