Vitalik Buterin Puts Craig Wright in His Place
During the Deconamy conference held in Seoul Tuesday, self-proclaimed "Satoshi", Craig Wright, was faced with some harsh words from very influential figures in the cryptocurrency industry. Among those calling out Wright is co-founder, and considered the 'brains' behind, Ethereum and its blockchain, Vitalik Buterin, decided to live Tweet ("for fun") during the pro-bcash (BCH) presentation titled, "Bitcoin, Controversy over Principle". Vitalik has long taken umbrage in the past about Wright and his claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto as you can see in this interview from 2016:
Not surprisingly, Buterin was quick to the attack of Wright upon his section of the anti-BTC presentation, as these Tweets illustrate:
After this point, Wright's section concluded, and the charismatic Roger Ver, Samson Mow and Jeff Paik took the stage to debate regarding BTC and BCH, that did not stop Buterin from continuing to call out Wright:
To top off the end of the conference, Buterin decided to stand up and call for the microphone for a statement directed at the validity of what Craig Wright had to say, and ultimately ending his moment with this provocative rhetorical, "Why is this fraud even allowed to speak at this conference?" This is a meaningful disdain coming from Buterin, who typically does enjoy hearing points of both sides, often agreeing with aspects of each participant in the panel, but his opinions about anything related Wright seem to be cut and dry.
